In early April, I went to Sichuan again to find R. Actually, I didn't plan to write anything at first, but in the last few days, I had a sudden impulse to rebuild my blog, so I decided to make this the first article (a test article, after all). Although due to its large size, it was finally published very late.

Going to Chengdu

On the 28th, I finished all my work and returned to Shenzhen. Two weeks before the Easter holiday, I had a lot of assignments and midterm exams to complete, and I was exhausted. On March 29th, the last working day, I missed the early high-speed train, but happened to grab a noon one. So I tiredly boarded the high-speed train. Originally, I planned to complete a series of tasks beyond study and work on the train, but I had no heart to do anything. In the end, I spent over seven hours playing Oxygen Not Included.

Now I don't play this game much anymore; I'm doing other things. To be honest, I always have a habit of avoiding urgent (or important) tasks. For example, right now I should be preparing review materials and also doing the work ledger. Then I spent half a day playing with the blog and RSS subscriptions, half a day playing with Ollama large language model, and now I'm back to writing this blog. I think I'll go to a café tomorrow, sit down and focus on writing something.

When I arrived in Chengdu, I went to pick up the car I had reserved for rent (foreshadowing), which was in the underground garage of a mall next to the train station. I said I would go to the city to pick her up, but found it wasn't on the way, so I went directly to Niushikou. I had heard her say before that the blind massage here is good; she had come with Mushroom before. I got massaged to death, my whole body ached. Nothing to say that night. The next morning, we set off from Southwest Petroleum University towards Mount Siguniang.

We set off around 9 AM. When I got up, R was still dawdling in the hotel. I drove out first to fill up the gas tank. Then after breakfast and buying some snacks at the supermarket for the road, we realized it seemed too late to enter the mountain. The Mount Siguniang scenic area stops admitting visitors after 3 PM, and the road from the city to the mountains is long.

As it turned out, we really did miss an exit on the highway, completely bidding farewell to the plan of arriving that day. That highway exit was set right by a tunnel entrance; you had to be in the right lane in advance to exit. When I drove out of the tunnel, I was stunned, and had to continue to the next exit. That highway was actually built over another national road, and the distance between the two exits was very far, about an hour round trip. Fortunately, after getting off, we switched to the national road, so R could drive slowly.

By the time we reached the town next to Mount Siguniang, it was already 5 or 6 PM.
