Parting and Anxiety
Since ancient times, sentimentality has been wounded by partings, even if it is not the clear autumn season. I left Beijing, lightly and casually, randomly yet premeditatedly left Beijing. I left Beijing because my internship ended. I couldn't say goodbye to all the local friends one by one; I left without saying goodbye. Am I a cold person, or did I spill my passion on extravagant hopes? I go to a place that seems I should go, to do things that seem I should do. I use a scale to ask you 'Do you feel compelled to do certain things?' I know what I am asking. Sometimes nothing actually happens, it's just that you fear something, so you go to verify. If you're lucky, you feel at ease, and nothing happens. If you're unlucky, you discover something, and then what? The worst is 'nothing originally happened,' yet because of things done due to an inner compulsion to respond, something got hurt.
